The Winter Festival on Our Albia - Day 13

Soon enough, all of the frogs were safely back in the pond, and it was all thanks to the quick action from the Sabertooth Norns. I didn't realize just how helpful they'd been! Now we could all go back to celebrating the Winter Festival, instead of spending the day chasing frogs around.

"I don't know if we can thank you enough," Richie told the Sabertooths, as his friend Anni dug around in their ship for something. "It's not much, but we wanted you to have something for the trouble..."

"Aha, here it is," Anni called as she pulled a little machine out. She trotted over to Kat'ia and held it out to her, beaming. "This is a seed dispenser. It will create sunflower seeds that you can plant and grow, or just eat, if you want."

Kat'ia took the machine in her hands, turning it around and inspecting the box. "I know you guys aren't big on gadgets," Anni continued, "but we thought that this one should be pretty to use and might be really useful for you back home."

Sure enough, Kat'ia gave the top of the box a firm tap, and it spat out a few sunflower seeds into her hands. She laughed at the sound it made and, without a single second of hesitation, ate the seeds. "This is very good! We will bring it home! Thank you!"

I was watching them talk from a little ways away in the garden, but it made me happy to see what I expected to be a total disaster turn out to be a great experience. Not only were the frogs safe, but it looked like the Sabertooth Norns and the Treehugger Norns had both made new friends! 

With everything back in order and going smoothly, one of the Dragonfly Demon Ettins came running by, and asked us to turn up the snow machine for a little extra fun. Whatever they'd been trying to put together all this time, it seemed that they were ready to show us.

It was time to kick the winter fun into overdrive and finish off our eventful day with a bang!
