SERU Foster Ship || 001: Norns and Company

ENTRY 001 - NORNS AND COMPANY

I am happy to report that our first pair of eggs has successfully hatched in the SERU Foster Ship!

These two lovely children are Emochit (male) and Engelberga (female). Both of the two are quite small in size, and Emochit appears to be four-legged, making him quite compact! Thankfully, they were able to hatch successfully. In the first few minutes of their life, Emochit has been able to survive well on his own; on the other hand, Engelberga seems to struggle with eating food properly.

However, the fun part of today was Foster Ship C18's now fully-functioning Warp portal! Though it has been quite some time since SERU has successfully been able to make contact with the Warp, now that our connection is online, we've seen a number of visitors from other ships across space. We allowed each visitor a brief period with our rescues to help socialize them, before sending them on their way.

Here are just a few of today's visitors:

And last, but certainly not least, we were visited by a few famous Warp-dwelling Norns, Warpster and Warpo!

Both of them were quite friendly fellows, and seemed to get along quite well with our rescue Norns before we sent them on their way. We're happy to have had them visit! We would like to thank everyone in the Warp network for the fun today, and our SERU rescues surely appreciated all of the new friends, too. In the days to follow, SERU Foster Ship C18 will continue to keep our Warp network as well as an open portal online.

Full adoption details for today's SERU rescues are as follows:

EMOCHIT
Species: Norn
Gender: Male
Breed: C3 Ettin, C3 Grendel, Bruin Norn, Aardvark Norn
Temperament: Friendly
Notes: He seems to prefer warmer environments.

ENGELBERGA
Species: Norn
Gender: Female
Breed: C1 Purple Mountain Norn, C1 Santa Norn(?), C1 Grendel
Temperament: Friendly
Notes: Tends to sit down in corners and sigh repeatedly. She seems to have trouble differentiating between objects, as she referred to everything as "something" and was unable to focus on just one thing. She was unable to survive because of this, however we have preserved a scanned copy of her in case any potential adopter may want to try their hand at teaching her.

If any of our readers have any questions about these Creatures or about the SERU Foster Ship in general, please do leave a comment below! I will be happy to answer.

Signing off,

Felix
Head Caretaker

  1. Ahh, I had Warpo and Celeriac Xanadu show up in my world too! I kept Xanadu around instead of passing him on though because he was an elder by the time he got to me; I always keep the elders around because I feel like they deserve a nice place to live out the rest of their days

    1. Aww, that's really sweet! I think that's a nice idea, I'm sure he was happy to have you take care of him. :)

Really cool to see Norns actually passing around the Warp, too! This is actually amazing, I've never been so happy.

    2. I know, it's such a nice little community thing! So good to have an in game way to do community stuff in real time around again.
